WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women building what comes next.

01

SELF-RELIANCE, BUILT TOGETHER

Self Help Group formation gave women in the villages a structure to save, borrow, and build small enterprises collectively, backed by grant distribution that turned informal savings circles into functioning economic units. The same spirit carried into the Mahila Bachat Gat network across Adarshgaon Dhavelshwar — village women's savings groups that gathered regularly, supported by the organization, to manage their own funds and plan for their families' futures.

AWARENESS & SAFETY

Knowing the rights that protect you.

Nirmal Ganga Goda, together with the Maharashtra State Women's Commission and a social-work college student forum, conducted a one-day workshop on women's laws and cybercrime. The session covered legal protections against violence, guidance on cyber safety and self-defence, and information on support systems including the Damini Squad, Women's Cell, Family Counselling Centre, 1098 Child Helpline, Police Mitra, and Police Sakhi. Discussions extended to POCSO, sexual harassment law, financial crimes against women, and crimes committed through social media, with real case experiences shared to ground the legal information in lived reality. The workshop closed with an emphasis on students knowing the relevant legal provisions and, just as importantly, knowing exactly where to go for help.
